While in the SAT test, why do supervisors not allow students to leave?
This is usually in order to make certain that all test takers are released at the same time. Otherwise, a group that finishes a little earlier than the other groups might be loud in the hallways and unfairly disrupt those students still testing. (Also, one group may finish earlier because the proctor may have read the directions more quickly and started the test sooner).
