Why is the UPSC CSE not transparent?
UPSC is not transparent because every year students that write and teachers who examine copies are different. There are many copies to examine and multiple teachers may be examining the copies. Since, copies will be made public, students could file the case that they have written similar answers but scored differently. Everyone would want to see the copies and tally it with toppers. Futhermore, if there is bribery of anykind, it may come out because of transparency. As we know subjective answers can be judged differently and there is no straight way to check the copies. Even if there is some criteria of correction, it will also come out. Therefore, students will try to copy toppers answering style , making it more difficult for UPSC to judge. UPSC need IAS who are unique in themselves. It would make the process of finding unique individuals difficult.
